New Nigerians Listed In Forbe’s 50 Richest Africans

Forbes magazine just released their annual list of the richest African men and women, and in the list this year, we have two new Nigerians. Nigeria now occupies 13 spots, rising from 11 spots last year. Former Abia state governor and business Orji Uzor Kalu, and former MD of UBA Tony Elumelu are the newest members included the list.

Orji Uzor Kalu, 54, is currently the chairman of SLOK Holdings, the Daily Sun, and New Telegraph. His colleague, so to speak, Tony Elumelu is Chairman of Heirs Holdings, a pan-African proprietary investment company with interests in strategic sectors of Africa’s economy. He is also the founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
